| Thursday, August 19, 2010 Selling your home in the fall!by Tracy Lofroth on Thu, Aug, 19, 2010 10:38 AM
Have you been wondering "when is the best time of year to sell my home?
Every year fall has been a record sales month for me. Usually buyers come out in full force to purchase a home after their summer holidays and get into a home before the snow fly's. Sellers that have had their homes on the market during summer months with no success tend to take their homes off the market in Sept and Oct. as they plan to wait until the following spring to re-list. This reduces the number of houses on the market and increases sellers opportunities to sell their homes.
Many times I have seen an increase in competing offers during the fall and winter months as the reduced number of listings force buyers into multiple offer situations.
If you have been thinking about selling your home and want to talk about it with me, or have a free market evaluation please give me a call today! I promise, NO pushy sales pitch, just honesty and a fair market evaluation with the data to support.
Enjoy the remaining summer (through the smoke of fires) play safe! Monday, April 20, 2009 Spring cleaning has arrived!by Tracy Lofroth on Mon, Apr, 20, 2009 04:10 PM We finally see the lawn! Well, most of us do anyways.. I am so happy to see the rakes are out, the trees getting pruned and the lovely tulips and daff's showing themselves to the world.
Curb appeal is a huge selling factor so when you are preparing to sell your home please don't forget the outside of your home. The market is very competative right now and the houses that look the best on the outside as well as inside sell the fastest. SO.. having said that, brush off your driveway, trim your trees and shrubs, power rake the lawn and clean out the gardens because if it looks unloved from the outside, the buyers may not be bothered to come in and see the inside!
If you dont have the time to do the work yourself, please feel free to give me a call! I have some great lawn care specialist to help you out and get the yard in tip top shape.
Get outside and enjoy the weather!
Hope to see you out and about soon.
Tracy Sunday, April 12, 2009 Living in Prince Georgeby Tracy Lofroth on Sun, Apr, 12, 2009 11:58 AM I have taken the long road south for the Easter weekend and while in Vancouver among the noise and traffic I was thinking about how fortunate I am to live in Prince George! I have been in Vancouver for 3 days, visiting family and cant believe how things have grown and changed down here. It takes a whole day to get somewhere, rather than the 10 minutes it takes in Prince George- not to mention the $60 in gas to travel around... wow.. how can people afford to live here. Speaking of living costs.... Prince George is one of the lowest markets to invest in Real estate! We have wonderful new large houses for the same price as 40 yr old fixer uppers in Vancouver.
I love Prince George and when I come down to visit people are always asking " so, you want to move back to Vancouver", my reply is always "no way!" I will continue to come for a visit, however, each time I come I realize how lucky I am to live in Prince George and I look forward to coming home.
Happy Easter! |
